Worlds Beyond at the Goddard Visitor Center
A permanent installation of the projects from the Worlds Beyond pilot program was unveiled at the Goddard Visitor Center during an opening reception in June 2007, where it is still on display for the public. The Visitor Center hours are available on their website here, and driving directions are here. Entrance is free.

The participants in this pilot program were from local middle schoools, and also included several individual familes. (More information on the pilot program.) The mounts for the poles that the students decorated were distributed around the Visitor Center, so that their locations represent an accurate projection of the distribution of extra-solar systems relative to Earth. |
